ADOPTION INFORMATION
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out the adoption application. It is very important to answer every question completely and honestly. Once we receive your application and go over it, we will contact you with any questions or concerns. We will also follow up with the veterinary reference or verify with the veterinarian you wish to use for your new pet. After we have all of the information we need, your application will be sent to our Adoption Review Board for consideration. You will then be contacted with your application status. After approval we will set up a meet and greet with you (your children and any dogs in the home) and your chosen pet. Our greeting area/living room is the perfect place to get to know you new family member. We also have a large outdoor play yard and acres of land for a nice long walk with plenty of quality time to get to know each other. By the end of your appointment you and your new friend will be well on your way to becoming the best of buddies.
The adoption fee is $200.00 for dogs and $145.00 for puppies. At this time cats/kittens are $60.00 The non-refundable adoption fee is used to help cover a portion of the cost of combo testing, age appropriate vaccinations, preventatives (which includes deworming, flea/tick preventives, and for dogs heart worm preventative), and micro-chipping of the pet. We also make sure every dog and cat over six months of age has been spayed or neutered before leaving for their forever home. We do require proof of spay/neuter for those who leave before they are old enough for the procedure.
All adopted animals will have a medical history report to the best of our knowledge and all of the original supporting documentation. Our dedicated staff is committed to finding the best home for every resident of Olive Branch and is here to help guide you through the adoption process! We are here to assist you with any concerns, answer questions, and make the adoption process as smooth as possible.
