Olive Branch Animal Rescue and Refuge, Inc. (OBARR), is a NO KILL, non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring a better quality of life and ending the cruel abuse and neglect of companion animals  through rescue, foster, adoption, community outreach, and education.  

         We are a 174 acre former dairy farm located atop a ridge surrounded by gently rolling  hills on Badger Run  Rd., Sistersville, WV.

          This animal rescue is the vision of our benefactor, Olive Barth. She purchased this farm with the express purpose of rescuing abused, neglected, and unwanted  animals and  providing a refuge for the remainder of their life, if needed.

         Sadly, Olive passed away in 2009. Our Board of Directors, dedicated  staff, and small army of  volunteers works with a passion to carry out Olive’s vision.

           Presently, we are home to seven pot-bellied pigs, two horses, many, many cats, and an ever changing number of  dogs and  puppies. We have, in the past provided shelter to turtles, hamsters, goats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, and pet birds.

We  have an aggressvie spay and neuter program to control the animal over-population. 

 Family Assistance (FAP) Program
